Sol Roberts-Lieb is the Associate Director for Pedagogy Strategy for the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Prior to this role Sol served as Director of Information Technology for the College of Fine and Applies Arts. In this role he managed and directed a team responsible for designing and building online and blended courses in a variety of disciplines. The team was also responsible for ensuring that instructors could support any questions that came from students. These ranged from technical problems with the course to more fundamental questions of academic integrity, missing assignments due to a variety of reasons, accessibility, copyright and more.
Sol received his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois College in Chemistry. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Technology Impact and Assessment, a concertation in the Liberal and Integrative Studies program at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Education in Educational Policy and Organizational Leadership specializing in Differentiated Instruction and Choice-Based Learning at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Sol is a husband and father to two young girls. He is interested in how technology intersects with education and how individual aptitude and choice improves student outcomes.
