Scott was in the A/V club in grade school decades ago (before MTV) and has been interested in tech and gadgets ever since. He started teaching in the telecourse and interactive television distance learning technology around 1995 and jumped on the chance to teach online when it opened up. His M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology included heavy doses of training and development theory and Human factors research. Later, additional graduate work in Instructional Design and Telecommunication provided distance learning context and details.
His dream to be a part of the Illinois Online Network came true in 2008 when he took over the administrative direction of ION. Now, it's just a matter of figuring out what the present is and the future will be, then sharing them and helping others prepare for them.
