There are two credit options for MVCR courses depending
on your needs. Each method involves a different set of procedures and different
fees.
Earning Continuing Education Units Courses can
be taken for 8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through
the Illinois Online Network/Illinois Virtual Campus.
Advanced Online Seminars may be taken for 4 Continuing Education
Units through the Illinois Online Network/Illinois Virtual Campus.
Using this site to register for a course, will automatically
sign you up to recieve a CEU letter upon successful completion of the course.
You do not need to specify this as an option.
Earning Academic Credit Hours through the University
of Illinois at Springfield
Courses can be taken for 2 academic credit hours through the
University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) in the Teacher Education Program
or the Computer Sciences (depending on the course). To take a course through
UIS, follow the instructions on the registration page
specific to that program. Advanced Online Seminars are currently not offered
through UIS. NOTE: It is not possible to convert CEU credit
to academic credit hours after a course is started. You must register
for the type of credit that you desire.
Auditing
Courses cannot be audited.
