What is the Faculty Summer Institute?

The Illinois Online Network (ION) Faculty Summer Institute (FSI) is an annual conference on learning technologies for faculty and staff of educational institutions. Included in the program for this year's FSI are hands-on sessions in computer labs, discussion sessions and presentations on a wide variety of topics, round table discussions, an electronic poster session, and social activities to allow participants to get to know and learn from one another.

The Institute will:

  • introduce participants to the use of the internet and computer technologies in teaching and learning
  • advance the knowledge of those already familiar with the World Wide Web and its uses in education
