Molly Herman Baker, Ph.D., is the Director of the Teaching/Learning Center and Online Learning at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL. As an instructional designer, specializing in teaching/training with technology, especially at a distance, she has been teaching and training nearly all of her professional life. She has worked for the Girl Scouts as an adult development specialist, for Western Illinois University as Director of Faculty Support for Technology Integration and as a faculty member and graduate coordinator in the Instructional Technology and Telecommunications Department. She has also operated her own consulting firm, New Leaf LearningDesigns.

Dan has spent the last 15 years teaching, training and exploring the nuances of designing engaging learning events. He has an MA in Adult Education and has worked in K-12, higher education, corporate and non-profit environments including a three year teaching assignment in Chad, Central Africa.
For several years, Dan developed and delivered workshops for online faculty in the community college system of Illinois. Currently he is engaged in another statewide professional development initiative through the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy which focuses on assisting educators to develop skills in digital information fluency - ie. searching, evaluating and ethically using digital resources for teaching and learning. As a learning architect, Dan continously explores pedagogical approaches, such as scenarios and storytelling, that connect learning to life.

Jeffrey Bathe is the Director of Instructional Technology and Alternative Delivery at Kankakee Community College. He also provides instruction for the Illinois Online Network's MVCR program and teaches faculty development workshops throughout the state of Illinois, both online and face-to-face, on such topics as adapting curriculum and effective uses of technology tools. He received his B.A. and M.S. from Western Illinois University and is currently pursuing his Ed.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Community College Leadership.

Diana Billeter currently teaches full time in the Business and Computing Technology (BCT) lab at Carl Sandburg College, Galesburg, IL. She is also the coordinator for the BCT labs on all three Carl Sandburg College locations. Her educational background includes a bachelor of science from Illinois State University in business education and a master’s degree from Western Illinois University in instructional technology and telecommunications. Over the past decade, she has been a certified trainer for several different software packages and traveled across the state conducting training workshops.

Brenda Boudreau is an Associate Professor of English and director of the Writing Resource Center at McKendree College, where she teaches both composition and literature. Along with Tami Eggleson, she has published and presented several papers on the effective uses of technology in the classroom, and she has developed several online and hybrid classes, including a Writing for Nurses course.

Steve Campbell is an Assistant Professor in his fifth year in the Business Division at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, IL. Steve is the program coordinator for the Web Design and Computer Graphics programs. Prior to that, he was the Webmaster for LCCC and was Assistant Director of the Media Services Department.
Steve has his Masters degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in Instructional Technology. He currently teaches classes using Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady and Illustrator; Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash; Microsoft FrontPage; and QuarkXPress.
Steve is married to a high school instructor of English, Public Speaking and Debate (for 21 years!) and is the proud father of four teenage children.

Life is filled with unexpected adventures. After living in Illinois for 27 years and being a member of the Harper College faculty for 16 years, I have relocated to the Baltimore/D.C. area where I am a Distance Learning Counselor. I have earned a certificate in Online Teaching from UCLA and a Master’s Degree from George Washington University in Educational Technology Leadership in addition to my counseling degree. Somehow, I have been able to find a way to combine all of my professional interests. While I have been an online teacher for several organizations, it is a pleasure to be back where it all started – ION.

Tami Eggleston is an associate professor of psychology at McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois. She uses Blackboard extensively in her blended classes. She is also involved with faculty development and technology and teaching training at McKendree College. In addition, she has been involved with the Associated Colleges of Illinois (ACI) and their technology training mentor program. When not reading discussion board posts from her students, her research interests include sport psychology.

Scott is an instructor of Mathematics and Computer Science at John A. Logan College, where in addition to his teaching responsibilities; he serves on the Technology Implementation Committee of the College. He has a M.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University. He has previous work experience in software development at Wal-mart Stores, Inc. in addition to contract work for local businesses. He has also contributed source code to open source projects such as Moodle. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society and the Illinois Mathematics Association of Community Colleges.

Since 1980, I've been a full-time instructor of speech and theater at Triton College. I teach in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department which offers interdisciplinary packages of general education courses in communications, fine arts, social and behavioral sciences and humanities. Department members collaborate in curriculum and lesson planning, assignments and exams, the assessment of learners, team teaching, etc. In 1998, we moved our learning community to an online format preserving the interdisciplinary mandate and connecting the virtual community of online learners to the classroom community of on-campus learners. I teach online theater courses in this Community Of One model. Additionally, I teach what is somewhat of a rarity -- online public speaking courses. I also teach the Encouraging Communications course in the MVCR program.
