Overview It's a misconception that online education is only self-paced and lacks interaction with others. Interaction with one another is going to be an import nat component of our class. Therefore, it is important that we know a little bit about each other first.

Goal & Objectives The purpose of this activity is to help us learn a little about each other in a fun way. Therefore, by completing this activity, students will:

Instructions

1. Post a brief introduction of yourself including information about your experience learning or teaching online, why you are taking this course, and the content area you are planning to teach online. You can include information about your background, family, interests outside of teaching, and even attach a photo if you wish.

2. Also, include one or two pieces of knowledge that you would like to get out of this course.

3. Submit your post here by the date on the course calendar.

4. Please put your name in the subject line of your message. For example, "Kevin's Bio "

5. Post your assignment by clicking "Add a new discussion topic..." below. As new messages are posted, they will be listed at the bottom of this page. To read someone else's message, click on the title of their message.

6. Review the posts of your fellow classmates and respond to at least two different student posts by connecting common threads to each other such as subjects taught, personal interests and hobbies, etc.. To do this, click on the word REPLY , in blue, in the lower-right-hand corner of the box containing the text of the message you wish to respond to.
