Overview It's a misconception that online education is only self-paced and lacks interaction with others. Interaction with one another is going to be an import nat component of our class. Therefore, it is important that we know a little bit about each other first.

Deadline This activity has two deadlines:

2. Response to Classmates
You must respond to at least two different classmates' initial posts by 5:00 a.m. (CST) on
Monday, January 22, 2007

Points This activity is worth 5 points.

Goal & Objectives The purpose of this activity is to help us learn a little about each other in a fun way. Therefore, by completing this activity, students will:

Introduce themselves to each other and begin developing synergy; and

Have Fun!!

Prerequisites & Needed Materials There is nothing to complete prior to submitting this activity.

No additional materials are required to complete this activity.

Instructor's Role This activity serves solely as a vehicle for introductions. Therefore, my role as your instructor will be to post my own introduction and read and respond to your posts.

Tips for Success To be more successful with this activity, consider the following tips:

Post on time.
Respond to at least two other student posts . Feel free to respond to more, but be careful not to dominate the forum by posting to too many. I recommend that no one responds to more than five posts.

Post a brief introduction of yourself including information about your experience learning or teaching online, why you are taking this course, and the content area you are planning to teach online. You can include information about your background, family, interests outside of teaching, and even attach a photo if you wish.
