Instructor's Virtual Office I will hold a Virtual Office Hour once a week for those who wish to meet with me and other students for synchronous communication regarding topics discussed in the course. These will be informal sessions with no set agenda.

I agree to make every effort to be available at the times posted below; however, I reserve the right to leave early if no one has stopped by within 20 minutes time or if no one has notified me prior of arriving late.

You may also make an appointment with me at a time that is convenient for both of us.

When:
Wednesday Evenings 9:00 - 10:00 PM (CST)

How:
A link will appear 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. The link will be located at the top of our course on the main page and will read Kevin's Virtual Office - Now Open. Simply click on that link to enter my virtual office. The link will automatically transfer your login information to Elluminate. A MyElluminate page will appear on your screen. Click, Display Schedule. Locate our course's classroom in the grid and click join in the far right column.

Getting Started

When you log in, you may be prompted to download Sun Microsystem's Java Web Start (or OpenJNLP for Mac), a pre-requisite to Elluminate Live!. Installation will take approximately 20 minutes on a 56kbps dial-up connection and 1.5 minutes on a high-speed connection. You only need to do this the first time you use Elluminate Live!

The minimum PC requirements are a Pentium II 266 Mhz with 64MB of memory and a sound card. The minimum Mac requirements are a g3 233 Mhz with 64MB of memory when using OS 9.0 - 9.2 or 128MB of memory when using OS X.

To get maximum benefit from Elluminate Live!, all users should have a microphone and speakers.

I would suggest going through the downloads one day prior to the start of the Chat.
