Global Partners

From its creation in 1997, ION has grown to help develop proficiency in the use of network technologies in education across the globe. Current and past partnerships are identified below. Additional participation in the ION program from around the world can be seen on our Scope page.

Benedictine University at Springfield, IL

Benedictine University at Springfield is a progressive liberal arts university offering master-, bachelor- and associate-degree programs. Founded in 1929 by the Ursuline Sisters, BU is Springfield's oldest institution of higher learning.

Chicago State University

From it's humble beginning in a leaky railroad freight car in Blue Island, Illinois on September 2, 1867, the university is now a fully accredited public, urban institution located on 161-picturesque acres in a residential community on the Southside of Chicago. During the first year of its founding, CSU enrolled 62 students. The current student enrollment is nearly 7,200.

Eastern Illinois University

Consistently ranked in the top third of Midwest universities in its class by U.S. News and World Report, Eastern serves an enrollment of more than 8,900 with excellent on-campus housing opportunities and a safe, compact 320-acre campus in Charleston, IL

Fanshawe College, London, Ontario, Canada

In May of 2010, Fanshawe College became a global member of ION. After seeing a presentation on ION and the MVCR program, the chair of Fanshawe's Lawrence Kinlin School of Business saw value in ION membership. Fanshawe (from old English expression 'Temple in the Woods') is one of the largest colleges in Ontario with four locations in Southwestern Ontario.

Florida Gulf Coast

FGCU is a member of the State University System of Florida, and is a comprehensive university created to address the educational needs of the rapidly growing Southwest Florida population (in Fort Myers, FL)

Illinois College of Optometry

ICO's location in a major urban area offers all students the opportunity to treat diverse ophthalmic conditions at the Illinois Eye Institute.

Maranatha Baptist University

Founded in 1968 by Dr. B. Myron and Thelma Cedarholm; Located on 79 acres in Watertown, WI; 41 campus buildings; Offers undergraduate, graduate and online learning options.

North Central College

NCC is a comprehensive liberal arts college with a 150-year history affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It's campus is in Naperville, IL.

Organizational Capacity Development Company (OCD), Vietnam

Established in 2003, OCD Management Consulting Co. is a Vietnamese company specialized in providing management training and consulting to businesses and organizations in Vietnam, with high levels of professionalism, applicability and quality. OCD became an ION global partner in January of 2009. They have several trainers who have completed the Master Online Teacher certificate.

School of the Art Institute of Chicago

SAIC is one of the most historically significant, accredited independent schools of art and design in the nation located in one of the greatest American cities.

University of Malta

The University of Malta traces its origins to the founding of the Collegium Melitense which was set up through direct papal intervention on 12 November 1592. This college was run by the Jesuits on the lines of their other colleges established elsewhere and known as 'Collegia Externorum', catering for non-Jesuit students.

University of North Florida

The University of North Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Fall 2014 enrollment was greater than 16,000. More than 500 FT faculty.
